Rebecca from Ohio
I have been following your Urbex photos for several years. I was excited to visit the website this month and find many locations I hadnโ€™t seen before. In the 1980s and 1990s, my late husband and I also explored and photographed abandoned houses, but of a very different kind. We photographed small, poor houses in Ohio (USA). Some had been abandoned for just a few years; others for decades. Like your urbex explorations, we found houses full of furniture and personal possessions. We also found a lot of graffiti and vandalismโ€”far more than I believe you find in Europe. I believe you use High Dynamic Range (HDR) techniques to maximize detail in scenes that have a great deal of light and dark contrast. The results often produce a painterly look. Good job. Thank you for what you do.
